Into to Dragster DerbyTame the world's fastest rubber band powered production bike! Our factory Pro Stock Bike runs 50 ft in as low as 2.9 secs.  This GADD special version includes the GADD logo engraved on both sides of the machine for easy coloring.

The Pro Stock Bike runs almost anywhere on its wide rear foam tire. The front steering allows for direction adjustment. A special tool to wind your bike is included.  The bike features a variable single sided swing arm, with easy access to gearing.

Age group: High School Students

Use markers to decorate your bike and keep it light.

Kit contents: The Pro Stock Bike kit comes complete with all laser-cut plywood parts necessary to build the bike and the winding tool. All metal gears, axles, bushings, .187" rubber motor, and small plastic parts along with an Allen wrench are included. One wide rear foam tire and rim kit along with one laser cut wooden front wheel is included. Detailed building and racing instructions will be emailed to you.

You can improve the performance of your bike by applying Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). You can vary the following on your bike:

Power: Adjust power through wider and/or more rubber string loops.

Gear Ratio: Choose from different pinion and/or crown gears to improve acceleration and/or top speed.

Overall racer weight: Adjust ballast for optimal traction/ stability of your bike.

Overall Length: 12-13 inches (Depending on swing arm setup)

Curriculum: Spotlight on Teamwork, Careers & STEM (Available as a free download with each multipack purchase.)

We recommend that up to 5 students share one of our GADD bikes and work as a team.

A team consists of:

  • Crew chief
  • Mechanic
  • Driver
  • Artist
  • Public relations agent

 

Other students in the class act as race officials.

This is a real life scenario where students experience firsthand what it is like to work together as a team towards the common goal of winning a race.
